Photo Trekking

The team Frog Company offers you a naturalist (see his profile) and a professional photographer (see his profile). With their guidance you will be able to observe the natural environment in an innovative way. You will explore the natural world around you and all the species that live there from the smallest insect to the biggest animal or tree.

During the walks, which are relaxed and unstressful, our guides will tell you everything about the wildlife you see. You will be able to learn how to take a good shot, as our guides will teach you the right techniques. In order to take good photos you will have at your disposal professional photographic equipment: from high performance cameras: D3 and D80; to high quality lenses; Nikon 80-200mm F/2.8 D, 300mm F2.8; 600mm F/4, 18-135mm F/2.8, 70-300mm F4-5.6, 50mm and - 105 mm/2.8 micros, according to the different situations. At night, when we are back from the tour, we will analyze the pictures that have been taken and everyone will get a CD with the photos of the day.

Our photo treks will allow you to discover the unspoilt and wonderful nature of Aurunci Range Park and of Abruzzo National Park -situated in the central Apennines range, stretching from Abbruzzo. We will also visit the group of the so-called Mainarde range, located at the South East limit of the park. Its mountains, Forcellone, Cavallo and Meta, offer you one the most interesting itineraries, and from its peaks you can enjoy wonderful views: to the east the peerless landscape of Molise, to the west the sloping hills of Comino Valley, and to the South the far away Aurunci mountains, a terrace on the Tirreno (Tyrrhenium)Sea.

On our routes you will appreciate holistically all aspects of nature: flowers, fauna, insects and all kinds of small creatures and, if you are lucky, you’ll be able to take pictures of the large mammals and the birds which live in these still wild lands.
